Dymola with Modelica support

General

Dymola (Dynamic Modeling Laboratory) is a program system for simulation and visualization of nonlinear dynamic systems. It uses a new modeling methology based on object orientation and equations. The usual need for manual conversion of equations to a block diagram is removed by use of automatic formula manipulation. Ready to use model libraries are available for many engineering domains.

Dymola is developed, maintained and distributed by Dassault Systèmes AB (formerly Dynasim AB) in Lund, Sweden.

BAUSCH-GALL GmbH distributes Commercial Modelica Libraries and we organize training seminars for Modelica (Modeling Language, see below) and Dymola in german language at our office in Munich, Germany.

Modelica language

Modelica is an object-oriented modeling language to support hierarchical structuring, re-use and evolution of large and complex models independent from the application domain.

The Modelica language 3.2 specification was released on March 24, 2010, by the Modelica Association.
The specification document can be downloaded here.

A short description is available in file mod_ueb.pdf.

An overview to Modelica Libraries is available.

Modelica Standard Library

Free library to model mechanical (1D/3D), electrical (analog, digital, machines), thermal, fluid, control systems and hierarchical state machines. Also numerical functions and functions of strings, files and streams are included.
